We are Pacworld Agencies
Design development
Many of our customers require a specific design solution for their packaging. We have experienced packaging engineers who create the optimum solution balanced between functionality, appearance and producibility/machinability. It is not enough to create a perfect looking molded pulp packaging design – we have to secure optimum machinability to offer our customers the most competitive item price.
We are known to have very quick response times and the shortest possible lead-time from design approval to 3D print sample, prototype mold and samples in molded pulp. After approval of prototypes we proceed to mass production tooling and production ramp up.
We are most likely “Best in class” and we work according to our philosophy “We do what we say”
RFQ process
Step 01
Customer describes a specific packaging need and supplies 3D drawing of the product to pack, alternatively physical samples or “dummies” are received
Step 02
Pacworld makes a first design sketch and gets feedback
Step 03
When the design is agreed upon Pacworld makes quotation
Step 04
A 3D print sample is made for the customer to check that everything fits according to expectations. If adjustments are needed an updated design suggestion is made and followed by a new 3D print sample to perform the fitting test.
Step 05
A prototype mold can be developed and samples in molded pulp are made in the cases where a thorough packing test is required before final design approval. It varies between projects if the 3D print sample is sufficient or not to approve the design.
Step 06
Once the packaging design has been released the production molds and tools are made and the serial production is ramped up
